Product details
Have you eaten Jaipur's Vardaan and Balwan Laddus?: They are prepared by importing herbs from Iran, grandson has made grandmother's recipe a brand

Do you know that 'laddu' was not invented by any confectioner, but by the great Indian physician Sushrut of the fourth century. At that time, he used laddus to treat patients. The same kind of diseases that were cured by the laddus made by Sushrut about 1600 years ago, similarly, the same beneficial laddus are prepared in Jaipur today as well.
These laddus are called Balwan and Vardaan laddus. These laddus are made from a recipe that is hundreds of years old and herbs are used in making them. Many rare herbs are brought from Iran. So let us take you to that place in Jaipur in Rajasthani flavour where these special laddus are prepared…

Govindam is near the temple of Jaipur's revered Govind Dev Ji. Owner Rajendra Singh Tanwar claims that Balwan and Vardaan Laddu are his own patent in the treasure of sweets.
Rajendra Tanwar said that he worked in a pizza company for 17 years to gain experience so that he could start his own business one day. His father was in the army, but because of his grandmother, he developed an interest in food since childhood.
He left the post of manager in a pizza company and started Govindam in 2020. It was the time of Corona then. People were struggling with weak immunity. Then he got the idea of making and selling these laddus.

I learned this recipe from my grandmother as a child
Rajendra Tanwar says- My grandmother Ugam Kanwar used to prepare healthy laddus for us children and laddus for pregnant women when someone in the family had a child. Grandmother used to call those laddus as strong and blessing laddus. She had such skill in her hands that many relatives also used to make a big demand for making laddus.
Grandfather was in the army, but he also had good knowledge of Ayurveda. He would often bring herbs from Iran and give them to Dadi Saa, which she used to prepare Laddus with. Whenever Dadi sat down to make Laddus, I would help her in the kitchen. I would grind the herbs well in the mortar and grind them into fine powder. I learned the skill of Dadi Saa's hands by just watching her.

Grandma's recipe came to mind during Corona
Rajendra Tanwar says that Covid weakened the immunity of most people. Then I remembered those laddus made by grandmother which we used to eat in childhood. Because after eating those laddus we never fell ill. When I left my job and planned to open a restaurant, then the thought came to my mind that why not bring the unique laddus made by grandmother to the market.
So what? I started making laddus using the recipe I had learnt from my grandmother in my childhood. I failed the first, second and third time. Family, friends and acquaintances gave reviews after tasting them. But I succeeded the fourth time. My mother gave me the green signal the fourth time. Which meant that the taste of my laddus was the same as the laddus made by grandmother. Today these laddus have become our identity.
